In 2011 Sabrina & Gerd bought the BBT 1952 cozy split… they restored it there own way.

A couple of years later Markus bought one of the 4 uber cool split windows we imported at once from Sweden (that caused a stir).

This year they meet each other on a real small VW show and took some pictures together to share with all of us…:)

Its just good to see that people take so good car for ex BBT cars… Thanks to Gerd, Sabrina and Markus, good work guys, keep the spirit!

Keep them running on BBT parts and thanks for the pictures too!

4 september 2020 - NEW

Last Tuesday,  on September 1st, schools opened back in Belgium. It was kind of a special day as with the lock down and school from home in the spring many children and students hasn’t seen each other  for over half a year!

Makes us think about our VW shows… it was cool to have a break after visiting so many shows year after year, but now we start missing those things, seeing cars, meeting friends, hanging out… unfortunately the virus is still between us and shows will not be held this year or if there are shows, they will be very small ones.

Maybe it’s even not safe to visit shows, how small they might be …. Most countries in EU should have a vaccine by March 2021. At least that’s what the forecast is. But a vaccine can’t do little more than protect you for a period of 3 months (at the most) so will we need 4 injections a year to stay safe? Who will tell…

We like to present you our new parts we added to our range this week.

We deliver our parts in a good quality like you get used from us. So you buy only once and not 4 times a year, that is…..

We changed suppliers for our late model seals between your front hood and your handle.

We are running out of our last single pieces  0727-1 and 0726-1 Always bought from the OE supplier to Volkswagen we refused last delivery as they just turned rubbish. So we decided to find an alternative.

Following BBT # 0722-2 our white set of hood handle seals doing pretty well for the last couple of years we teamed up with the same factory to make us the black set as well.

It’s a small gasket, but it gives the finishing touch that every beetle deserves!

So we’re happy we can present you these high quality gaskets at a real moderate price.

0722-300 Seals, front hood handle – Beetle 08/67- black

BBT brings you now the cool old style looking high quality 6 volt horn for your old Volkswagen.

Originally Karmann Ghia’s had two horns inside their front panel. Something a lot of people don’t know is that they’re different, one with a high tone and the other one with a low tone.

So we teamed up and bring you these horns in both tones with the looks of an original old style horn.

That way they’re the perfect alternative for your Beetle, Bus, or Type 3 and we do sell quite a few for Porsche 356 too!

We sell these horns already for a long time in our shop with a shop only reference number. As we slowly but surely want to eliminate the shop’s only part number system we decided to bring these horns in our general BBT parts program.

Happy we can offer these good looking 6 volt horns in an acceptable quality at a real fair price.

0650-100 Horn, 6 Volt, Low tone – Beetle, KG, Type3, Bus -07/66, 356.

0650-200 Horn, 6 Volt, High tone, – KG -07/66, 356.

After we cleaned out our complete inventory of used parts we bring you now the front indicator base for the Karmann Ghia built after 1969.

We  sell the lenses left side BBT # 0640-5 and right side BBT # 0640-6 and the rubbers BBT # 0759-46 for left and BBT # 0759-47 for right, with their connector tube as BBT # 0759-48 and now we make that family complete with the indicator bases.

We see this as a very accurate reproduction, that will help a lot of short circuits, corroded, mis-formed and worn out trouble out of this world.

Adding these indicator houses to our program we now make this family of front indicator parts for late Karmann Ghia complete.

Available from our shelves, order yours now!

0640-700 Front indicator housing, left – Karmann Ghia 08/69-

0640-800 Front indicator housing, right – Karmann Ghia 08/69-

We add also some metric hardware to our program to make your life so much easier using the right hardware to mount our spare parts.

Correct hardware is also a perfect finishing touch for your beloved car!

To mount our cargo door locks on your split window bus like BBT # 0436-530 & 0436-540 we bring you this correct bolt with cross head, for sure this bolt has a dozen other applications on your Volkswagen as well…:)

8766-06-025 Cross head bolt M6 x 25 DIN7985

To mount the dashboard cluster in your bay window you need this rather long screw with cross head.

The little clips that hold this screw, you can find them under BBT # 2675-700.

Every dashboard cluster is mounted with 4 screws and 4 little clips.

8760-3938 Flat screw 3.9 x 38 Din 7981 stainless steel

This week we want to put a spotlight on 2 parts for the split window beetle or the holy grail as some may call it.

The window lifting channels, made by BBT, are a great replacement part for any restoration.

You will  find often that  these are the cause of poor functioning when operating the windows, mainly because of corrosion.

0362-700 – Beetle -09/52 – Window lifter channel, Left
0362-710 – Beetle -09/52 – Window lifter channel, right

Of course when you put all the effort into replacing the window lifters you will want some fresh seals to go with them and of course BBT offers
these as well..

0362-1 – Seal Window

Something a little different compared to our other shout outs are these beautiful late split bus handles.

These handles are fabricated with outmost care in highest quality and come at an affordable price and with a pair of keys per handle.

They are perfect when you wish to replace the handles of which the chrome has started bubbling.

They fit the 1st year of the Early bay window bus!

The rubbers to mount these handles properly can be found under BBT # 7426.

0425-750 – Door handles with keys – Bus 12/63-07/68

That was it for this week, we stay busy and more parts will be added in the upcoming week. meanwhile we started up several new productions, so stay tuned for further updates!

BBT wishes you a super chill weekend, don’t forget to browse our catalogs and if you can’t find what you’re looking for give us a shout on +32 (0)3 633 22 22 or email info@bbt4vw.com

3 september 2020 - Random

To avoid dust on our parts and shelves we packed our shelves partially in plastic…

This week we started phase 2 for the floorworks to make a warehouse from the Car department…

In this area over 150m2 concrete must be taken out and new concrete will be filled in… a hell of a job, believe me!

next week more work pictures…:)
