Late Westfalia buses with rock solid, super dry and drop death straight bodies are a hard find these days but hey, we scored again with this one! Unloaded yesterday from its container….
A 1978 Westfalia original brown and beige, one outside repaint to green and white….
Car stood still for quiet a number of years, mechanically we don’t know much about it, except it’s all complete and all mechanics look ok from a first quick visual inspection….
The body however is something we did give a close inspection, from left to right, top to bottom, as straight as this one will be hard to find another one….
One dent, underneath, behind the left rear wheel is all we could find….
Inside drivers cabin is all complete, very weird, this one has a brown dashboard and steering wheel, must be a “special edition”, I never saw that before in a Westfalia…
Rock solid, super dry, ah, that’s how we like them, this picture reflects to the whole bus!
The nose is super straight as well, no dents from a spare wheel, nothing….
… neither corrosion under the front windshield, extremely rare for a US import bay…
Inside is cool and cozy, cabinets might need new veneer but we can supply complete kits to glue on…. all the rest is there and complete, rear seat, top bed, table, stove, sink… even the small stool between the front seats do come along!
Cozy inside huh? Yes it’s all there, needs a clean and detail but hey its all complete,….
The sides are really drop death straight…. both sides that is….
This is a cool camper, how do you like the looks? We do fully agree the colors are not so cool, but the condition makes up for it big time….
The mechanical refreshments we always can do for You at cost (labor plus parts used)
