Arthur was a very nice elderly gentlemen who kept himself pretty busy making his Ghia all ok… there’s a huge list of updates (list comes with teh car!)…. the car is not perfect, but a real cool cruizer… mechanics are all ok, the brakes works fine too, the auto stick works perfectly… Arthur drove it from San Diego area all the way up to a show Irwindale California where I saw and bought the car… I simply cracked….
Nice from every angle, without being too nice to be driven’, the perfect combo!
It do miss some small logo’s and reflectors, what’s a pity, but all is available new, so a nice hobby to finish….:)
Colorcombo for sure is appealing!
And inside for sure is clean as well, the headliner is brand new and very well installed!
But also the seats, carpets, door panels are very nice…. and the car was very well insulated by Arthur with real professional sound and heat proof car insulation,
There is some bad chrome parts on the bumpers, we can replace at cost, or You can let re chrome yourselves… this is the most negative to the whole car, but not from the level it makes the car less valuable, as its so easy replaceable…
The real secret of the car is how solid it is, watch the inside of the nose, this is why I cracked for this beauty…. rock solid and accidents free body. Besides the rear panel that’s replaced I could not find one weak spot on the entire car! How many real “good body” Ghia’s are out there? Not that many huh?
Another of my favorite details are the hand painted logo’s on the hubcaps, never saw something like this, stunning and beautiful! Very detailed!
Classic lines, and very busy in an upward trend price wise, good Ghia’s become scarce now….
I bet this would not too bad looking in your garage or in your drive way,, do You?

In times we did a lot of engine rebuilding and engine tuning we needed a test bed for our performance packages… we did this in sponsoring Geert Mommen race beetle in the VW Kevercup… long endurance trails to prove a lot of reliability… we used to be real fast, but not successful, only to late to find out the engines had been good enough but the used oil was the problem of a weekly engine rebuild!
Back then it was the worst, now we just see it as part of the experience that grew us to what we have become today…
BBT Rules!
