What did you do last weekend? We drove two buses down from the Highlands in Scotland and had the time of our lives… Wintertrail, but in real…
1969 Single Cab and 1971 Crewcab, both rock solid await their departure, with all mighty Gonzo and yours truly behind the wheels!
Ready to Rock and roll!
First big city we passed was Aberdeen… and believe me that is still VERY far North!
Aberdeen, the UK oil capital…
… and traffic!
Down the road, many Scottish castles, nice scenery and extreme cool views, this was a real “scenery” trip!
Gonzo had nice scenery through his “Bay Window”….:)
My trusty partner all way down, original optional VW Sapphire XV AM radio, fully functional!
Aberdeen to Glasgow is a long stretch! Believe me! Scotland is pretty large….. or at least way larger as we thought!

Sunday afternoon, arrived safe and sound! 1350 winter kilometers in two top VW’s…. Home sweet home… what an adventure!
