When I drove my 52 Convertible to its second owner in Paris about 10 days ago (see Blog report HERE) Mr Thomas told me that he used to own a schwimmwagen before the convertible and participated in a club for Schwimmwagens in Paris in the fifties, he had plenty of pictures what we went through for almost two hours… some of these pictures I could not resist to share with you here below!!

The club called “Autocross” and they even had a cool logo!

All the pictures are made between 1951 and 1959… here at the salon nautique in 1953!

They used the schwimmwagens mostly for holidays all over France, swimming suits mandatory!

Some converted their schwimmwagens real bizar! This guy was a friend, not a member, and lived in a ski resort, only car that could reach his house was a schwimmwagen!

On their way to the Ben Pon show Xavi, Massimo and friends came by BBT to say hi and a visit to BBT’s Volkswagen paradise!

All the way from Barcelona, they got stuck in belgium rush hour with 5 buses!

Brand new this week is the brake pedal push rod for all T1 and T2 buses!

This is the rod between end of the lever of the brake pedal and the master cylinder somewhere right under the driver’s seat. Because of the length of the rod you can adjust to use in either split or non servo bay window buses! One size fits all!!

Comes complete with mounting pin and clip.

Also brand new in our program is this very high quality gasket for your type 4 engine manual fuel pump. Made from top-notch gasket material! The fiber fuel pump base is already available under BBT 1690-4 and the fuel pump itself is BBT 1685-200. With this high quality gasket we have all those parts for your Type 4 engine.

Upper and lower gasket are the same so you need two of these for one car.
Only for carburetted engines, fuel injection have electric fuel pumps, which we offer at a real competitive price under BBT ref 1686-200
