21 march 2021 - Fun

Friend of Da Houze Lesley send us this old picture he found locally where he lives….

Place Mac Auliffe is the center of Bastogne where the heart of WWII at the end. (The battle of the Bulge of Ardennes).

Under German leadership of “the most cruel man of Europe” SS-colonel Otto Skorzeny Germans want to attack again and no longer defend.

Thanks God General Patton and Field Marshal Montgomery could stop this German madness and keep Antwerp (the ultimate goal of this battle) in allied hands….

Shortly after the war there was still a Sherman tank on this market square, as a souvenir… frequently visited by German Split window beetles…. nicely together….

What did the world change a lot in such a short period of time…:)

Enjoy your Sunday

19 march 2021 - NEW

So is it March already?? Or almost April I hear you say?
So far we’ve had all sorts of weather already this year, in its truest forms.

Snow, heavy rain, storm, beach weather and we’re not even 3 months in the year, imagine…
With no clear outlook on what this year is going to bring,we want to ensure that here at BBT we keep things going with the same flow and routine.

Check out our weekly NEWS for the latest updates…

In our Silver Weld Through high quality sheet metal line for the split window bus, we received this week  the rear suspension stop buffer.
Sometimes the easy looking parts are not the easiest to make, and this one was no exception.

It took us quite a while to finish as we wanted it.
Only used on late model split window buses we made this buffer exactly to factory specs.

Ready to install, to replace that rusty, crunchy, wrecked or missing buffer in your bus.
Or… to install on an earlier bus, to make sure you’re suspension never collapses to the end.

This buffer is the stop for our rubber BBT # 1459-20 what’s mounted on our suspension stop rubber holder BBT # 1459-250 & -251

We have this family of parts complete again….
Sold each.

We get many questions about our infill lately and although we’re trying to  work harder as ever to get our supplies up to date, we cannot get manufacturers to fulfill their promises. Many manufacturers are not or only partially producing. Several countries struggle with raw materials. Ocean shipping is besides 2.5 times more expensive than before the pandemic, also a big mess worldwide with continuous delays, rerouting, lack of material and broken commitments.

As said we work daily overtime to try to straighten things out, but it will take a while before we’re back to normal stock levels….

This week container arrivals brought us some longer backorders we could fill our shelves with…

We’re happy to list some of them here for you.
