15 july 2013 - Meetings

Saturday afternoon BBT’s Die Hard innercircle gathered for a weekend of fun about an hour drive South East from BBT HQ.

Long term BBT friends Geert and Karl put on the first edition from their VW show “Bugs on Wheels”….

Lubbeek 097_blog

We look back at a really cool weekend, perfect Saturday evening entertainment, extreme good organisation, till very small details, a team of enthusiasts organizers always ready to help where needed and good food and drinks, a location that was nice and cosy,  big crowd, only car turn out was kind a light, but for a first edition, this is one to follow for sure….

14 july 2013 - Cars for Sale

With pain in his heart…. but after 20 years of traveling Western Europe in “his” Westfalia and coming to age of 70 “healthy” years, Jimmy, aka “Papa Vans”, brought in his extreme cool SO34 to sell through the BBT network.

Jimmy was the first official importer for Vans in Belgium.

Everybody knows globetrotter  “Jimmy” …. he simply brought his beloved Westfalia just everywhere, mostly accompanied by his daughter Sarah, or one of his grand children…. we can easily state Sarah grew up in Papa Jimmy’s Westy…

DSC01555_blog

This bus was a regular at just ANY show around western Europe… and still beautiful and appealing as ever….

DSC01559_blog

All the goodies on board, ready to travel….
DSC01566_blog

Interior to die for…. pure early sixties style….

DSC01576_blog

Safari front windows (original VW! no fakie doo’s!) US bumpers, front and rear roof rack made by Belgian late legend “Jojo” … You name it, its all here… this bus won so many prizes, not because of the best, but simply because of appearance… Jimmy has style like no one else….DSC01591_blog

Cosy?

DSC01592_blog

Drivers compartment, or shall we call this VW heaven?

DSC01593_blog

View through the front window….

DSC01597_blog

Your change to take place behind the wheel… forever

DSC01599_blog

Magic attraction?

DSC01605_blog

So nice and appealing from every corner…

DSC01609_blog

Sssst we’re still sleeping…. imagine yourselves with your beloved ones on the border of a lake in Switzerland, Italy or Sweden, on the side of a Fjord in Norway, or near the tower of Pisa in Tuscany, surfing Biaritz in the South of France, or drive the “promenade des Anglais” in Menton the French Riviera, or just a weekend away around Holland or Belgium? Priceless family shots ahead, where this Westy easily can bring You, Jimmy quit, but Westy is not retired yet!

DSC01614_blog

Jimmy for sure we will miss You, it was always good to hang out together with a cold one…. and I hope You will still visit us times to times, as Belgian VW land will not be the same without You anymore….

DSC01545_blog

Right after Samba buses the early Westfalia’s are the most valuable of them all… VW buses rise in value consistently for over 12 years now, no banker can show You statistics about one of his products like values of VW buses  went up…  and because its recently gained cult status we don’t see this ever stop anymore, prime investment opportunities…. finally an investment that brings You joy, happiness and a perfect down wind from stress opportunity… simply stated; better as banks and doctors together!

For all and any information about this van just send me an email on Bob@bbt4vw.com

Don’t let slip this original SO34 away, chance that You can only buy it once are very realistic here!
