BBT Convoy’s are never being organized without a support team and this edition the support team existed out of 5 persons. Pascal was doing co-ordination and analyzes while BBT ‘s in house mechanic Koen was our main mechanic in the team. Koen gained a lot of experience during the years…
One of our drivers, Gonzo and friend of the house Dirk, were the “sweepers” to pick-up what Koen & Hans couldn’t get fired-up again… Lucky enough there wasn’t much to pick up.
We’ve also experienced that many of the participants are well familiar with their ride and they know very well how to solve problems on their own. Once again a prove that most Classic VW drivers own their car with a lot of passion!!!
A list of what went wrong? Broken throttle cable, faulty alternator pulley, worn out brake drum, wheel bolts lost, broken spark plugs, low level gearbox oil… In fact, nothing serious what proves once again that our Vintage VW’s are still more than drivable after an age of more than, in some cases, 60 years since production.
BBT’s 25 years existence and the open house event in preparation to the BBT Convoy was amazing!!! Pictures have been put online in a Facebook album and @ our website. Click the pictures or here to see a 24 hour image report…
The entire BBT team would like to thank everybody to make this happen!!! Convoy participants, visitors, national and international guests, every helping hand, catering, our neighbours… In short, everyone who made this happen!!! More detailed information will appear soon @ the BBT Blog during next coming week.
