Early pick up rules!
This original Pressed bumper 1958 single cab pick up worked hard during its whole life! last years it was traveled a LOT over the US West Coast attending various VW show and a real well known sight on the swap meets… a real VW bus from a real VW guy!
Looks rough, but besides the nose panel its pretty ok actually…
Sitting on its original 15 inch wheels is always cool to have!
Original non cut round taillights is a nice premium, but we don’t know about the tow hitch….:)
Small window pick up is always a cool sight from many angles…..:) seeing a car like this makes me always smile!
The bed is original, and way better as the average! All side gates are there, you name it!
Your place behind the steering wheel? Can be!
A lot of surface rust, but still dry as a bone….
A real beast, that looks desperate for a new owner, she has still so much to give!
Yesterday we visited the first ever VAG United indoor show…
Held in the Southwest part of out tiny country in the Kortrijk Expo indoor exposition buildings… a very welcome at the venue..
The outside parking lot already revealed quite a bit….
Inside was huge, well organised and plenty to see….
I particularly liked this bus, once from Bell Telephone cy, once one of the largest employers of our country…
1302 Superbeetle in Gulf livery was a cool sight….
All different halls all had a different theme, the Tuning hall was loaded and music was loud!
Don’t know about this entry as far as tuning goes, but a frid and a beetle was necessary in between all watercooled monsters to keep the aircooled crew happy I suppose….:)
Even late generations Transporters (or euro vans as they call them on the other side of the ocean) been on display, not to bad for a workhorse in my humble opinion….
The booth of BBT distributor Steve’s VW shop was quiet impressive….
Musical entertainment in style, was kind a cool too!
Back to the aircooled, this was (is) a very cool rat ride…. the style that pop up a lot, but is very hard to create!
A couple of nice speedsters on display, a lot of memories from an era long time gone….
at the booth of Steve’s VW shop not only his race car “Fast Scrap”, but also a couple of cars from ex BBT’er Edwin aka Seppe the metal master…
Another BBT distributor well presented Filip Delrue from Delrue workshops fame, strictly aircooled on this booth! Nice BBT banner does well!
We like cool logo’s, this was the ubercool one we spotted yesterday!
Flat4Hazards Vw club outdid themselves with their club booth, by far the best booth set up from the entire show!
Ghia Stef brought no less like 9 cars to this event, Stef is a larger Belgian collector really well know for the quality of his cars!
BBT schwimm and Kubelwagen also on display! The two oldest cars on the show?.0…:)
VW Dealer VanderHeaghen had access to the D’Ieteren prototype replica car, always cool to see “the beast out”…:)
Shall we see more of this next year in the next edition? who knows? only time will tell, but the kick off was pretty good to me!
