Saturday I attended a packed OCTO meet, hereby a little review! OCTO is a VW show strictly for VW split window buses, and its crowded!
5.00 am, even at 7-Eleven its still quiet, but hey they’re open, always, 24 hrs, and their coffee ain’t that bad!
Very busy line up, gates open at 6.00am!
Beautiful Palm Green sand green, yammie! What a start for the day!
More nice buses, all on their own!

The lunch right after the show was hosted by Eddy from Eddy and Dave’s garage, in Orange California, Eddy is a real close friend of BBT and especially me in particular…. as part of his crew I was invited… best Mexican food in California I ever had, thanks Eddy!

The after party @ Charlie Hammill always draw a crowd on its own! Charlie open his doors from his crazy bus collection… he was one of the guys I visited at my very first trip to California, a mere 25 years ago! So yes we go back quite a while!
Ok Bob, go to bed now, tomorrow (Sunday) there is no less as three car shows on the agenda’s! Only in California dude! Stay tuned, i keep writing!

Next on the trip I saw this 1957 double door panel van, will come to BBT HQ soon!
Next to it was this westy, is there a daughter living in this house on wheels? wowh! or is it just a joke?
ok, we have a 12 hours drive to our next destination, so buckle up here we go! Drving North!

Over 2 years of locating a real VW NOS panel, research for the right production process, searching for a serious factory with competent craftsman, tools and machines and spending lots of time on the way to discuss and test no less as 4 prototypes…
BBT is proud to present you this rear panel in the well-known top notch BBT quality.
This rear panel has been designed in original thickness high quality steel and has all correct shapes and a correct fitment. Assembly of all the different parts to become to a high quality finish result has been done on a “Weld through primer” process to prevent uncovered edges.
All these efforts have been done to get that to original standards replacement part for a damaged or rotten rear panel on a 08/60-07/66 Beetle.
