1 april 2014 - Fun

The kombi production came to an end… a lot of Kombi’s however, still have a last wish… this video, made by VW do Brasil, explain the last wish of the Kombi….

Please feel free to click on “Play Video” button above…. with thanks to Mauci, our Brazilian friend who brought this very first to our attention…

Maybe this is the ultimate dream to come through for all Kombi’s…

31 march 2014 - Cars for Sale

This T2a early bay window Westfalia tick all boxes if you’re on the look out for a nice restoration candidate, the interior is still beautiful, the body is good, except for some parts of the rear rockers, and the most important, its completely untouched!

DSC09141_blog Besides the nose this is all original factory paint, nothing we could hide or camouflage!

DSC09142_blogThe end of the rockers needs replacement, but all the rest looks very decent and solid to us!

DSC09144_blogNice and straight everywhere!

DSC09145_blogWelcome to the drivers cabin…

DSC09146_blogInterior nice and decent, only need some detail to make it a perfect place to live for the weekends…

DSC09148_blog Always nice to see cab floors like this!

DSC09149_blogClean unmolested  dashboard.

DSC09151_blogOriginal wooden headliner still in place….

DSC09152_blogThe “weak” spots for most bay window buses are still in great shape on this one..

DSC09153_blog and another shot of the cool interior… we miss the keys at this point to open tailgate or sliding door, something we can solve for a small additional cost, or leave it up to the buyer in the “Take me Away” price…

DSC09158_blogEngine bay nice and complete, exactly like we like so much to find them… engine runs, brakes needs a gone through…

DSC09159_blog A very decent, straight and honest Westfalia camper, proud to be offered under BBT’s “Virgin Outlaws” program….

30 march 2014 - Friends of the house

My friend Lind from Idahoo has visit an old men a couple of days ago, the old man was loaded with some interesting “stuff” but one thing  cought his eyes especially…his report….

This is the coolest vehicle I have seen for a very long time.  It features a model T rear end, a Crosley front end, a railroad spike shifter directly onto the hockey stick, a 1956 36hp bus engine with crank start, very rare 36hp governor, correct fuel pump and thin-slot generator.  Many many other features that all make this the coolest lawnmower in the entire world.  It is a working unit that the owner has used to mow his lawn since the 1970s.  He spent $2.80 on a bearing for it, and the rest was stuff that he had laying around.  He is a really neat guy.  He has his ’56 beetle that he bought back in 1958.  It has been parked for 20 years or so, but is still a very nice car. He has also another dozen or so VWs that are not worth owning.
