8 january 2013 - Inside BBT

Mr Francois from France is a “fast” guy… our uber cool 1955 Kombi was just 5 days “fresh in” from Cali before he snapped it away!

Last Saturday he came by to pick it up, bring it home and cover it with enough TLC (Tender, Love and Care) like he does with his 53 oval, just a nice pair of cars to have in your Garage…

We wish Mr Francois all the best with his new acquisition.

The honour was mine to drive it on the trailer…. Foto1853_blog

7 january 2013 - NEW

Wowh! this is real weird….

Doctor L.J.M. Snieders bought this Westfalia 400-4 series camping trailer brand new in 1957. If things didn’t been expansive enough, he ordered a special interior to his personal wishes and desires…

This camping trailer was equipped with almost the whole Westfalia option list, the real toilet with flush being the highlight of his extra ordinary decadency… Herr Doctor was a big guy, with a weight of almost 140 kg…. and pulled this Westfalia gem with a special, for purpose bought, big American V8 car, a very unusual sight in the late fifties on European roads… as the story goes the Doctor used the camping trailer only on 1 trip, and loaned it one other time to a friend, that’s it, almost new, used only twice!

comes with some souvenir cards, but most important a complete map with building sheets and manual for build in gas heater, electric system with converter and battery, real working fridge….

enjoy the pictures and don’t hesitate to contact me by email for any more information or price….

6 january 2013 - Friends of the house

From our German friends from the VW Cabrio-Interessen-Gemeinschaft (CIG) we have received this very interesting VW art object to serve for green energy…. Very interesting to see how people keep on using the old Volkswagen parts to adapt in the “new” times…..
