How You like to drive your bus???
Nice and cozy with your girlfriend or wife?
Or getting a beer at your local pub with the buddies a little cramped in ???
Thanks for the ride Pete and Larrie! we had a crazy good time!!
Solvang is not a big event, but a cool one, its kind a special in that old Danish city in California next to the mission Santa Ynez…
Cool cars, not strictly vintage but just enough accents, everybody was happy and we had a lot of fun! Beat that!
Patina rules!
Although cool “resale” red is always cool too!
This was my favourite of the show period!
Double door-double tent!
Classy convertible class!
Trailer the bike, or bike the trailer?
Best of show went to this super cool combo from Arizona, we call them the Shelly cousins…:)
More eighties as You can eat!!! wow where are the times???
Top class vintage if you like accessories!
Sittin’ low!
What a show… we passed an incredible day!
Every two year the VW Speedwell guys from the bay area in California do the trek south to the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America gathering in Solvang…
I had the honour this year to drive in the back with my truck and trailer as the sweeper car… luckily I didn’t have a load at the end, that means no break downs…
They drive the very rural Highway 25 over Hollister, something should do in your life as its closest You can come how Central California should have looked like a 100 years ago… very Californian!!
With a brief stop in Mission San Miguel, one of the best kept missions along the El Camino Real…
To arrive in Solvang, a kind of Danish city in the heart of California (between Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo)
Solvang lives the Danish life and everything they do breathe a lot of Denmark, off course its super touristic!
They even have a Belgian breakfast place, guess we’re we will have breakfast?
A small teaser for the show of tomorrow….
Stay tuned for the full show report of the Solvang meet!
