The parts warehouse simple couldn’t store all cars so yesterday morning we’ve stored a few beauties outdoor while weather conditions still were OK.

bbt7

bbt10

Almost empty… It was a long time ago that we had this much of space.

bbt9

bbt8

We’ve also been working hard on decoration… More than 25 years collecting does result in a huge collection of rarities, gadgets, etc… Why not display them… Every license plate, poster & sign has its story… It’s up to you to fill it in.

bbt4

The new floor scrubber does the job very well. The odor of soap also cleaned our lungs.

bbt3

While one side of the warehouse is still drying, the other side already got filled with a nice line-up.

bbt5

Bob in action!!! Something different from cruising his Denzel… Always in the middle of the action to make sure everything goes on schedule.

AH! Now it is getting serious…! A new electric something has been delivered. They told us this thing can make everything as clean as it can be to display the BBT collection.

Friend of the house Dirk received instruction on how to use this “thing” which they call a floor scrubber. Need for more details?

  • Workwidth; 102 cm
  • Capacity theoretical; 9180 m²/h
  • Capacity practical; 5980 m²/h (Depends on who has been seated on top of it)
  • 2 brushes 51 cm
  • Airflow; 34 l/s
  • Tank capacity; 216 l
  • Power source; In our case… Solar energy @ 9750 W
  • Noisy? 78 dB… We will need to put a stinger on it…
  • And the best is yet to come… Cruise speed 6,5 km/h, Top speed 9 km/h

14 june 2013 - Fun

BBT’s in house wrencher Koen almost finished final check-up and inspection on the BBT cars which will participate to the BBT Convoy.

maintenance2

And he is doing his job very thoroughly, the BBT ladder truck gearbox has got a rebuild to fix it’s jumping 4th gear and the brakes have been inspected.

maintenance

The Terror garage Hebmuller has got its start-up after his oversee journey.

These inspections should minimize troubles during our journey to the Hessisch Oldendorf playgrounds to ensure we can enjoy our cruise. So hereby our tip for all BBT Convoy participators… Did you plan some extra time to pamper your beloved VW this WE and make final inspections in preparation to the upcoming events?
