13 june 2010 - Rare and for sale

Last couple of weeks Edwin played around again with our 1950 Convertible, after 661 Hours of metal work we can say the body is back to former glory, and ready for paint…  NOS converted sedan doors are currently at acid dipper to remove surface rust…

Like found in Sweden, about 25 years ago, lightyears before digital camara, internet and email!

upon dismanteling the only thing we found was rust!

and rust…

and more rust….

and this is the stunning result, 661 hours later, metalwork finished, body ready to go to the paint shop…

all metal…

imaculate finishing….

nothing beats bare metal pictures, maybe I shouldn’t paint this car…:)

In the last five years of recreating this big piece of German automobilia I also found my 1952 unrestored convertible, as I don’t need two of these super gems I might consider the sale of this convertible, counted to be within the 10 oldest known of survivors in the world. If you’re serious about this You can always contcat me trough Bob@bbt4vw.com . but consider a 1950 Convertible, 661 hours of labour, a rebuild engine, and a rebuild tranny not as cheap, as I have to have my investment back, or I don’t part with it at all… could use the money to finish other projects…

Taken on one of my US trips, don’t we all dream from a little shop like this?

I’m sure this was a dream came true for the owner, what You will is what You get!

If You have that dream, go for it! Go living your dream! I did, and never looked back….

Is this cool or what? the sexy back of a Denzel, real aluminium, woehaa, I want this hanging against my wall!

Unfortunately the rest of the car was there as well, and absolutely not for sale. What we can say is that this Denzel will be saved the right way! spot on! Great job Brian!
