My first day in California was a good one… long-term contacts helps and I was able to strike a 4 car deal within only hours after being disembarked in the country of Uncle Sam, euh, Uncle Donald lately actually, and in the state of oranges and fires!
The sun came up early in the airplane, never saw her that red!
The bay area is always impressive out of the plane, can You spot the Golden gate bridge in the picture?
Alcatraz from above…:)
Bird eye view from San Francisco (front) and Oakland (above the water) the bridge that connect these two major cities is the Bay Bridge
First score…. 1965 Karmann Ghia, very solid!! needs some detail etc and some paint, but a real good car, underneath the car is super solid and looks better as outside, believe me… previous lady owner!!
Look how dry and solid!! this is what we like , don’t we?
We can ship everywhere You want, out of California… or we do expect it home, @BBT HQ, somewhere in january
Next is an 1957 oval window ragtop, crazy project, must stand still since very very long! comes with (louvered) W decklid, and 30DIN (36 SAE) HP short block
Gas 356 Front brakes, can be sold either with or without…
Car has good pans and body is real good although ugly, was original Black when it came out of the factory, who would mind a Black Oval ragtop in his garage?
Paradise through an oval window… california is awaiting me….
Tomorrow I report about two split window buses, so stay tuned!!
This single cab was a really well know bus in the Western european show scene of the early nineties, full custom as product of its era this baby was built in the eighties with all “HOT” custom tricks from those golden years of customized cars. All doors and lids operates with solenoids, there’s nice electrics everywhere and all in fully working order.
This baby is fully operational and drives and brakes as it should.
The back has an unbelievable nice camping interior with all one needs! Bed, sink and stove! prefect travel companion for this not faint at hearted!
Are You 80’s custom fancy? Do you like top chops and other neat custom tricks? This is a real 1957 pick up truck… heavily modified in the eighties, and well survived the years till now… the owner/builder had it since the eighties and simply gets too old to use it and decided to sell this one out of his collection! Your chance!
Perfect chance to stand out of the crowd! Perfect chance to get the attraction you want, this turns heads, not a few, but this one really turns ALL heads, wherever You bring or drive it!

A couple of weeks a go, we thought like, why not just line them all up for a cool picture… because we like to DO even more like to THINK You can see the result below…
This is all BBT cars, 2 are private collection, one was sold at the moment we took the picture, one sold last saturday and all the other ones…. are for sale!!
If we go in to detail I can You learn all details from 9 out of 11 splits on the picture!
Let’s start with this marvelous restored 1952 crutch cooler split a candy for the eye and all original…. this car we sold last saturday to UK.
This is a June 1949 export split, all patina, incredible looks and presence! This car was almost 10 years part of BBT’s private collection but we recently decided to sell because we simply have to many cars ourselves… this is a unique opportunity to own a very early and a very original split window beetle!
This is a 1951 standard beetle, still pure driving…. a standard they dressed up with chrome tail lights, I kind a like it!
This car is a complete driver but need some check up on electrics and a complete service and tune up but runs and drives!! the door handle is back on meanwhile (with a freshly cut key!
“The Beast” as I call it is a real cool 1952 crutch cooler beetle project with loads of potential (and an original interior) that was last I don’t know how many years under cover in a barn, we didn’t clean it, we thought the dust was part of its history!
Mr Roadrunner, is a 1950 export splittie slightly lowered in the front and with a killer 1915 engine, this baby is fast, full runner and driver… with a, dare we say, kind a kinky interior, we feel this is the deal of the century as this car is so cool and very moderate priced!!
We have this patina split for the real die-hard enthusiast, it can serve easily as a cool (and good) donor for a nice restoration or it can be your perfect base for one of worlds coolest patina looker we’ve ever seen, choice is yours, but we have it and yes we do sell it!
This 1952 zwitter patina split is a real cool car with a cool interesting history….but unfortunatly sold a while ago to UK and we will deliver in the upcoming weeks… sorry to say this is sold like that.
