The tension bushing should clamp to your shift shaft.
This cannot be reached with go through bolts or other Mickey Mouse solutions.
The only way is exact the original way.
With the special designed weird screw, never used for anything else.
We tried different things, but they simply did not work out.

Karmann Ghia Lowlights are a magical world for VW spare parts aficionados as our BBT crew.
Up to 1957 Lowlight Ghias had taillight lenses in two pieces.
The glass lens with a separate chrome bezel.
58-59 lowlights use a one-piece plastic lens with molded in chrome frame.
Today we add the rubber for the early 56-57 model sitting between glass and chrome bezel.
Longer time available on special order, we deliver off the endless BBT shelves now.
