Leaving the south of California for what it was I drove up to San Luis Obispo, had two more boring meetings, but yesterday morning I continued my way to Los Osos, to see Go Westy..
The road up from San Luis Obispo is beautiful up to the coast… this is the California I love….

Spending a little more time like it should (thanks for hospitality Shawn , it was really wonderful!) I was kind a late to drive further North of Carmel to see my friend Mike (owner of the beautiful museum I featured yesterday… I called and asked if we could change to a late lunch? The sky was steel blue and I wanted to drive Highway nr 1, extreme beautiful along the pacific when there’s no fog…. Mike and his wife Barbara understood completely and agreed for late lunch….. Yes!…… The drive was on, 3 hours of nothing then beautiful nature! here we go!

Spending the afternoon in beautiful Carmel, hanging out with Mike and Barb,talking cars and business the day came to an end, if you’re ever in this area try to catch sunset @ the beach, its extreme beautiful, I took 45 pictures! and I share this one with you….. this is California too!
Goodnight, tomorrow I drive to San Jose, but Friday is product update, so next travel report is only on Saturday…. the ocean goes to sleep now….
Yesterday was very cool, my friend Mike invited me to visit his museum. his mechanic Bob guided me personally, what a collection!

The steel birds took me all the way to the USA West Coast to start a quite hectic journey through several states and city’s, a lot of driving and a load of appointments with real nice people, through the BBT blog I will try to keep you updated what I’m doing so I can assure I’m not laying under the Palm trees with a frozen Margarita….

First stop Rancho transaxles, here is where our transmissions are build, cool ride in front it of it huh? Inside its a real transmission thing, they’re simply everywhere… Very clean assembling boots, Rancho is the worlds number one in VW transmissions, we’re proud that only a handful distributors is chosen, BBT is one of them…. one of the guys assembling a transmission… Transmission parts????? and more transmission parts….disassembling area… Next stop was my buddy @ Eddy and Dave’s Garage, after Dave passed away in a car accident earlier this year Eddy is mainly a one man show, but still proud to be a BBT distributor! when You need something VW in orange county, Eddy for sure can help you!The shop is extreme cool, with loads of goodies…
and cool cabinets Eddy and me, everything that has my name I need at least to hold in my hand for a while…..:) Will this 1975 combi come to BBT HQ? only future will tell!Vw buses are still seen as daily’s on the street in Southern California….
