The perfect storm continues…
The perfect storm from an overheated market where supply can’t meet demand with big shipping issues and shortage of raw materials (only to name a few reasons) continues.
Especially from our USA suppliers we get lots of price increases for almost all products.
As written before we try to avoid a general price increase and still manage to study product by product searching for alternatives where possible.
We have put extra manpower in this department in function to keep the increase as low as possible.
But all that doesn’t hold us to bring you another load of new products this week.
Welcome to the BBT news.
This clutch shaft bushing is made to guide your 16mm diameter clutch fork shaft in the right side in the bell housing of your transmission.
Many times replaced by a copper, bronze or plain steel bushing but original this was a purpose made bushing in plain bearing material.
We searched and found the OE supplier who made this bushing for the assembly lines back in the day and we succeeded.
The company still had the tooling and was willing to produce a new run for us.
Even minimum order quantity was quite a volume because of material needed we jumped and had those made for us.
Now you can guide that clutch shaft as smooth as when your beloved Volkswagen was still a baby, freshly born in the VW factory.
This type a bushings makes the difference between a “repair” to keep a car going, or a “restoration” to preserve your car for many generations to come.
All our clutch shafts en kits for clutch shafts you can find HERE

For our next new arrival we go to the other side of the clutch fork to present you the spring collar for the clutch shaft handle return spring.
Mandatory under every spring on all aircooled Volkswagen transmissions to avoid extra ordinary wear.
Made from stainless steel for friction and corrosion resistance.
Two models to choose from for 16mm or 20mm clutch shafts.

Next product we have to go inside the transmission for this double tapered roller bearing that’s situated on the differential shaft.
This bearing fits the early (4 bolt style) transmission.
Made by SKF Germany in a private production for our supplier.
This guarantees perfect fit and quality.
Behind your wheel bearing on the rear axle sits this little 6.5mm wide spacer with its typical conical inside.
The wider bushings on the otherside of the bearing holding the oil seal you can find HERE

Good excuse to dive in the garage and work that Volkswagen!
