All sorted out at the port today…. what a job… but all 5 cars are well worth saving I guess….
BBT Hunters did a great job… again!
3 early Type 34 razor edge Ghia’s, a Squareback and a Type 14 Ghia coupe… used to belong to an old Submarine engineer… who bought another car every year, but never sold one, believe me or not….
The white one is build Nov 1963…
This one has an electric sliding roof…
All three with the much wanted “Television buttons” headlight/wiper controls…
The red one is the one without sliding roof..
Build Oct 1962, still a 5 digit VIN, the oldest of the pack… respect !
Some extra parts do come in the front trunk…
Never noticed a Type 3 front bumper would fit a 34… but the 34 bumper is on the back seat and do come along…
The blue one is also build Nov 1963 same as the withe one,
Comes with period engine lid rack!
Look at that badge (on both sides!) never saw this before….
This one also has an electric sunrooof!
Nice and straight body, little hit right side in the front…
and last but not least the beast ! 1967 squareback
Bumpers in the back of the car, You can see through the rear window…
a real hungry squareback… watch out or I eat You!!!
all need work and stands for a longer time, they all have pro and contra facts, but they’re uber cool!
Where will You find three early 34’s at once? We did!!! We can sell them as a lot or individual, first come first serve base, get your Type 34 supply now!
We can ship straight out of California (bay area) in case for overseas buyers, if not sold this cars will be shipped to BBT HQ in Belgium and can be picked up from there… if You make inquiries, plse let me know what your plan is, as it differs in price for sure!
All inquiries on bob@BBT4VW.com
PS None of the black plates are included in the deal, the blue plates do stay on the cars… just so You do know…
Windy roads, uphill, in the middle of nowhere, is this California???? …:) …..a forest full with cars… we digged them out and trailered them to the port….
Last loads at the port…. but before…
what an adventure… windy and twisting roads…
….smaller and smaller.. I drove this road three times in one day to haul my new babies…
Total load of 3 x 1963 Type 34’s, (yes all early ones!) the 67 Squareback and a 65 type 14 Ghia, and who knows what’s more hidden over there… well actually I do…:) for next trip hopefully…
Tomorrow hopefully some more detailed pics… when we’re unloaded and sort out the cars….
… after a couple of phone calls, many emails and some serious negotiations its time to leave again…
06.30 hr in the morning, Antwerp central railway station….
always impressive, especially with the big illuminated Christmas decorations….
1,5hr later…. Schiphol airport, where will this steel bird take me? And what window I will have to look through for the next 11 hrs?
Welcome to Sunny California… Picked up my car and start driving… first stop was in a very nice neighbourhood….
ah yes… also in nice neighbourhoods You can still spot beetles on the street !
Many hours later time for a rest, is there a bed behind this big nice gate for me? Also in California some people like to celebrate Christmas the serious way !
What will bring tomorrow? Cars? Parts? Stay tuned and you will find out !
