Budapest, Hungary. Every year in April the first VW Meeting is held under the organisation of the Hungarian Beetle Association. After the meeting, now for the 4th time, from the afternoon hours they have an Open-Day at their little shop, at Bug Parts. Weeks before the event the small staff is full of excitement in the preparations.
Tasty home-made cookies, snacks and sweets are waiting for their customers. Not to mention the unbeatable Hungarian bean-gulyás soup cooked in the traditional “bogrács” pot! Of course on this day they are endearing friends and customers with a special discount. Little kids can blow off steam in the jumping-bouncing castle while the big “kids” can have a beer or two and wash it down with the most famous Hungarian Pálinka spirit.
Take a look at the pictures: This is the Hungarian VW Spirit!

Spring is in the air! Man can feel clearly, or even smell very well when walking through BBT’s HQ warehouse… we’re very busy, shops wants their parts, cars have to be finished, the show season starts and all Volkswagen owners are desperately waiting some sun to come out to really drive their jewels on the public road, enjoy them, play them, use them for what they’ve exactly been made for…
so we didn’t sit still and had a lot of arrivals starting with a full 40 foot US container from the West Coast, containing no less like 24 different suppliers…
24 suppliers in a 40foot is a lot of parts!!!
If that container made “goods in dept.” not busy enough we also had a 20foot container in from Japan, from our VW brothers from Flat4 in Tokyo.
Being Flat4 main importer for Europe we do a lot of their beautiful parts of high quality, and now all is available from our stocks again, but act quick as things move real fast! a full container is a lot of parts but Europe is a large market…:)!
wohwie, what do we see in this load? The cool 911 Fuchs wheels?
Yes indeed, Flat 4 supplied a load of those reproduction Fuchs wheels finaly, and we even have the Chrome version now, not polished, but really nice and shiny chrome the best and most beautiful!
use these references…
BBT ref# 9538-050 for 4.5×15, BBT ref# 9539-050 for5.5×15 BBT ref# 9538-650 for ‘DEEP DISH6’ 6×15

This 1958 Panel is good as it looks, a real nice driver, not perfect, but clean inside out… with Californian provenance it was picked up by a guy from the Northern states on a swap meet, parked ever since. It was discovered by the guy who sold it to us about a year ago, he put in a lot of effort and time but decided the North is too cold to live anymore so he sold everything off he had to start a new life in Colorado… again we came just in time and snapped this goodie of the market… and yesterday it started its long journey from Wisconsin over California to BBT HQ in Belgium. What a story!
If you’re fancy a nice and clean panel van, we expect this baby to land half of June in BBT land, all info on Bob@bbt4vw.com
