EBI n°6 is over, what a weekend we had!
Friday around lunch time, the complete BBT circus was ready for take off!
Inch Pincher III, traveled along to EBI on a BBT trailer… we’re proud we could host the car for Flat4, our BBT partner in Tokio Japan!
BBT boot hosted no less as two Hebmullers… Classic on the right (N°323) Thanks to Mr.Yanto, from Terror Garage fame and outlaw drag Hebmuller (N°56) from BBT fame.
Burn out box was busy whole weekend long!
Partially overview from show and shine!
Teufelheb is prepped for making another low 12 second pass on the quarter-mile…
TeufelHeb against FastScrap, nice race!
International photographers from france and Japan, I placed my camera modestly UNDER the table… the combined value of cameras on the table was about half of a Hebmuller….
A quick wash before Inch Pincher III first run…. by BBT team off course!
BBT camping was fully booked, the food was great, thanks to everybody!
Gasser line up on Saturday evening was very impressive… at the front was BBT’s laddertruck for pictures “from above”…
Ready to race? nr 56 against 323??????
Saturday night looked even more busy as during the day… atmosphere was phenomenal..
Sunday morning picture shoot of both Hebs, for international press and official EBI press team… I saw two stars coming to life!
BBT Hans took on the challenge to race against yours truly,….
oeps, there is a difference between Volkswagens with 25hp and 201hp… Teufelheb drove a very respectable 12.042 seconds, me in n°323…. a mere 27.330….:)
Dieter showed his ever lovely single cab…
Inch Pincher III came to BBT booth for next race prep…
The Full BBT crew for the weekend, with far left Darrell Vittone (Original Empi and Race shop fame) and far right Ron Fleming (official inventor of the “Cal Look” name, and founder and owner of Fat Performance engine shop)
A weekend to never ever to forget anymore! Thanks to FFFFred and Mike for the good organisation!
Picture credit by the great (ex BBT) Gonzo, Leentje and yours truly….
As we will not have WiFi on our boot at EBI You will have to wait for an update about this show till tomorrow… meanwhile something very special…
This picture shows my dad (completely left), my uncle, grandma and another family member, with the VW bus from granddad he used for his bakery… this picture is very early fifties and revealed me the secret the “family” barndoor was made before 1953, (piano hinge vent wins) my dad always told me it was a 1950, but the full rain gutters denies that, search is on for more pictures in our family archives,
Thought it was cool this picture is on a set of matches!
Oh yes, the “family” barndoor was sold with the bakery in 1956 or 57 and I miss any trail from there on….:(
Will be continued…
