Everybody has read story tales about the annual VW trip to mount Sashta in Northern California I guess. For those who don’t know the VW Shasta trip is the most rough drive done exclusively by split window buses in wintertime under mainly like harsh conditions, there’s pictures all over the internet, type VW Shasta trip in on Google and your screen will be spoiled…
This 1965 11 window Kombi is a real survivor! She even completed the trip without a breakdown! 3 x Hurray, and even better, now it can be yours!
All set up as a real survivor! And a warrior too!
But in general a real good bus, with loads of patina and a wonderful appearance, that includes the faded logo’s!
Enough stickers to drool about, and keep you busy for a while….
Full length roof rack is a real nice extra!
Serious drivers seats, not everybody’s cup of tea, but no luxury on a Shasta trip….
Inside is cool, with all kind of signs and a wooden spartan camping interior…
Cool bamboo headliner gives you that all time camping feeling!
A view “behind” the steering wheel, cool bus huh?
Several marks, kind a cool as decoration… and prove of survivals!
Strong engine & trans, everything, but as for all cars coming in from USA, we do recommend a full service before take the bus in daily traffic, we can perform this service at cost….
The nice thing is the the body is rather dry, this is the exact reason we bought this bus, not that many “dry” survivors out there anymore….
A real hiker! Get your kicks with this adventure baby…
Are You ready to handle a bus with real Sashta Heritage? Are You a fan of Off Road splitties? Or do You see loads of other potential on this first paint survivor? All further information and pricing on Bob@BBT4vw.com
Last Sunday we’ve had a special visit from Belgium Rolls-Royce Bentley Enthousiast club together with the Jaguars Daimler drivers club which picked out BBT as a stop on their annual tour and BBQ.
It was a very special experience for the BBT crew. Almost 60 cars could be admired @ BBT but it was some kind of a hassle for us to determine which year/type some of these beauties were. We’ve enjoyed their visit a lot and yes… We have some kind of a common language… It’s all about to keep the Vintage spirit alive!
