We had to say goodbye to Yanto today, as we will travel with Wawan to Yogyakarta…
But the way to the airport was “pretty special”…. as everything when you hang out with Yanto…

Thanks God we didn’t had to drive the scooter, as they have a lot of traffic problems too!

And thanks God we didn’t had to work power lines neither… what a mess…

Down the road we stopped for some traditional Bandung food for lunch…

Yanto shows us how to eat Sambal, just pour in a good shot of Soy oil, now we know…

Our ride for the weekend wait for us at the airport, off course with driver, as Jogjakarta has loads of scooters too! Way to dangerous for skinny European drivers, you need real balls to drive a car here, and at least 14 eyes all around of your head….

And Wawan’s own Mitsubishi Diesel powered bus, a real luxury saloon on wheels!

With FIVE on one scooter, helmets? what helmets…. crazy traffic in Indonesia… and everybody is happy and friendly….

We go to bed early as we have to get up very early for a once in a lifetime experience, a mix of culture and VW, so stay tuned!

Today transfer to Yogyakarta… Yogya VW festival here we come!

Yes, the clock tick and its that day of the year again, we’re celebrating Christmas in the Western World, one of the most important holiday! Here in Jakarta, its warm as ever…. even locals say its kind a cold to them as its wintertime!

Yesterday I was invited to visit my good friend “Pack” Wawan’s place(s)

Entry to his office is amazing, the office itself even more!

Meeting table from a 300 years old tree, its about three times as long as what you see, I think we had a very good meeting, the table from the tree was good for the Karma of our relationship!

A couple of hours later we were at his house on the borders of the city… Beside VW’s Wawan collects Toyota FJ, price winning beauties… another world…

In better then new condition!

Inside out that is!

Wawan is also a vivid off road driver, was national Champion in 2011…

Welcome to the garden, it must be cool to live in a tropical land, with all these plants and trees, sadly the Frangipani trees didn’t had flowers this time of the year…

A couple of license plates for my collection, wowh, they will get a very special place on my wall!

Ok Jakarta wins! Traffic is worse from the whole world, and there is no place have more scooters, unbelievable, sometimes they seem to fall out of the sky!

Christmas evening, and my family arrived here, just in time to enjoy Christmas evening dinner (actually we drove straight from the airport to this lovely restaurant) so yes, yours truly schedule keeps on going, but for me this was the best Christmas present somebody can imagine!
