Arrived late last night safely home… so hereby I give You a nice Volksworldshow “after burner” to close the weekend……
Appeared on Facebook yesterday… we just picked it up…. seems the Volksworld Vintage showroom and Denzel baby was made for a perfect picture… somebody simply enough was there and saw the opportunity…. you get the picture?
or shall we ask the question, what would be a brand without its enthusiasts?
Saturday morning we woke up with weather even worse as home!
SNOW at the end of March????? This must be Britain!
Always safety first, happy feeling when Ghost Busters is backing You up, with all old castles and legends, you can never be safe enough in Britain….. Crowdy? What was the question? Or shall we call it “packed”! Everywhere people, unbelievable….. The Vintage showroom was finished by 5.00am on saturday morning (I was sleeping that time, don’t worry) but it was worth the effort for sure, very cool! wowh! I couldn’t enter, as it was simply to crowdy and line up was huge, but it looked good, didn’t it? a lot of people pointed out the Denzel…. what’s this????? We never mind to give some VW education…. Backwards “through the window” shot, Denzel baby and D&S, nice couple huh? Should they talk to each other you think? Maybe in the night? Imagine if they should telling their tales to each other…… wowh! Wish I could translate the automotive tongue to human language….:)Denzel baby carried the BBT license plate, with pride! Swap meet was overwhelming cool…. and packed as well….:) Split window bus slot racing drew crowds all day, fun to look at, very original…:) Outside weather was terrible, cold, rainy, snowing, windy all you don’t need at a show…. so hardly crowds outside…. space enough to walk, until wind blew You back inside…. Cool booth with some race cars, I thought the Classic Split window bus with the back ground of very aggressive race cars was a cool setting…. Feuerwehr, Police, all emergency was on the side, where’s the ambulance? Just before closing time I finally could enter the vintage showroom myself…. Look how Denzel baby smiles to You……:)
Tonight back on the train and back home, tomorrow is another exciting day at BBT HQ awaiting me….. hah, what a life…..VW life/)
When Ivan from Volksworld ask me something I simply can’t say no, friends forever, and that’s why fiends are for, aren’t they….
Volksworld was thinking about a Coachbuild special line up and asked if I could come out with my Denzel baby. For Volksworld…. everything…. so I said Yes before Ivan even could blink an eye, and happy they where!
because it’s too cold to drive an open car across the Channel (I’m not that British!) My Baby Denzel was loaded in our trailer and towed with BBT’s trusty T5 workhorse (some like the license plate more than anything) going on board of the train (Le Shuttle) to arrive a mere 20 minutes later on the other side of the North Sea, where everything is about different, language, food, beer, they even drive on the opposite side of the road!!! the most crazy thing about their behavior of driving on the wrong side of the road (or was it the RIGHT side????) is they keep’on honking their horns until You do exactly the same, and they blamed the Nazi’s about their propaganda, this is more like brainwashing to me…..LOL; this to all my UK buddy’s, maybe especially to Keith Seume….. cheers!
So ok lets start to load that Denzel Baby in the enclosed trailer now, before it gets a Cold…..
with T5 and trailer on the train, just crossed the channel, so cool to do…. technology! Like a “Big Lorry” on a truck stop, when you’re down the road, You have to stop for a burger times to times! Achtung! there is a Denzel on the Wet Floor! Inside the Sandown park exhibition centre…. Baby Denzel is a VIP now! Cleaned and ready for Display! the show prep was in final stages when I left the building to go find my bed, the vintage showroom was not finished yet, so not positioning the Denzel right…:( but other boots became very close to finished…. enjoy some pictures…. BBT’s photographer buddy Dave Warren in fully action! Hungry? don’t drive this way….:) Belgian Brasilia, cool, cool, cool! Razor sharp razor edge, Automatic trans and sliding roof, believe me they don’t come any better???? extreme cool stance! one of the best cars in attendance in my eyes! Herbie will do it again this weekend…. already in the “Studio” just cool cars! Star of the show, Lightning Bug, the first Bug ever! that passed the 10 second barrier, the Schley Brothers take their Baby on a world tour this year! Show your colors!!! Jakke and friend back on Volksworld show after both of their wins last year…; Jakke owns a very beautiful restored early Bay with BBT provenance, his bus is featured now almost all over the world, Kombi Life from Australia was the latest one so far…. famous people these Belgian guys! more nice cars! all thanks to Volksworld magazine, do You still have a valid subscription? nice display, not complexly finished, but close….:) one low baby…. ready for the vintage showroom, a full bunch of the rare breath cars, let’s start with this awesome Type 34! or the beautiful Heb brought over by Claus Missing from Germany No, I don’t think this crazy ride goes in the vintage showroom, but it is crazy indeed! Grundmanns Family came with no less as their Rometsch Coupe, and their Dannenhauer, wowh cars, definitely ready for the vintage showroom…. Rometsch Coupe, to die for! This Rometsch Laurenz used to have a front collision, as far as i rememeber, not a simple guy who restored the metal parts, and kept the patina, wowh! nice job…. let’s change this to Empi HAD it all….:) so cool to see Lightning Bug here! detail? You bet… this car is full of it….. stay tuned, tomorrow I try to bring more about this cool event!
