Yesterday the Vintage VW meeting in Lier was too much fun… pictures will follow anytime soon, beside the fun job of being a judge I had also the honours to “Fly” with my schwimmwagen! After sailing and driving, I went for the third dimension! woehaaaa…..
Because lack of a good entry/exit we had to put Schwimmie in the Inner Nete closed riverbank by crane… the Inner Nete floods cross through the city of Lier… thanks to all authorities for all given authorisations and let me discover this beautiful ancient city from the waterside… it’s mind blowing!
and of course we did schwimm as well, the passenger was a winner of the award “who’s its Birthday today”
, congrats with your birthday again, and wasn’t it a whole lot a fun?
we made it even on page 1 from the local newspapers!

Just another day of BBT fun!
Well back home my memory’s been heavely twisted, SCC was such a good show I want to share some extra pictures with all of you…
BBT stand as it was displayed all over the weekend…
Crazy patina drag splits and ovals, so typical for the Scandinavian VW scene, these guys race at least real vintage cars…
or just show them off… patina, drooling patina!
or still race them… very hard, watch a 58 IDA conversion on this original Rag split….cut up rear air grills, maybe this was a little too far? Who cares… it was very impressive at least… and very fast as well…Wohwie wowh!
BBT’s good freind Morten Lund brought out the crazy “lake samba”… this 23 window they dived up from a lake… in the early days seems like a lot of Norwegian people dropped cars in the lakes to get rid of them… well I even hear story’s they drove them on the ice in the wintertime so when spring came and ice melted the cars sinked to the bottom for a timeless sleep… at the same spot as Morten dived up this one there is even 2 other cars as well, and a little bit further down there is another 2 cars… all resting and took all there secrets with them… pretty expansive I think to get a big crane so far to the cliffs so they can take it out, guess its better for a VW underwater tour…
an unrestored Hebmuller anyone? I kicked really on the interior…wowh!
Turbo city baby… big turbo’s peaking out of Split window beetles, we can’t get enlough!
We have to thank Johnny and the entire SCC crew for all good care received all over the weekend, organisation was very nice, give us next year two days of sunshine along and we will BACK!!!!!
Wowh, finally I’m back from my Scandinavia trip, what a memory’s on all the guys and landscapes Up North!!! it all started off with a wonderfull weekend in Gardermoen Raceway for the SCC 2009 Event! if we did enjoy? You bet! and Teufelheb did too! 12.7 is a very very respectable time for a car from 1949 don’t You think? Unfortunatly crank broke and so we we’re not able to make more passes,
Thanks so much for the picture Johnny, and next year we will be back for more…!
