Bussy week @ BBT! one of the tasks was to test the brand new steering box for split window busses! Yes after 5 years of begging, and another year of development we finally could receive the final sample steering box for split window busses from our manufacturer, crazy stuff…. from all busses I know at least 50% needs this part… urgently… well this might be the perfect solution in near future! We fitted and we had to change very little at the chassis, but the result is overwhelming, like driving a brand new split, this was for sure the big missing part!
Not availble yet, but we’re working now with the factory for pricing etc… maybe we will try to bug them to change a little so no chassis modification required. we keep you posted for sure….
The new building is moving on… besides talking with architects to develop the new add on construction we’re moving also the workshop this week, from next week our in house Maestro panel beater Mr Seppe himself will work on the new premises as FIRST BBT employee full time… what an honour, don’t You think?
Moving our real english wheel was a real task, the wheel is build in 1932 when they still could make real work tools… who ever rolled a real vintage wheel do knows the advantages of real wheels, and will have a hard time going back to modern way too light, not damped wheels with no suspension… hey is all that features in such a wheel? looks more like a car to me…:) LOL
more pics from the new working shop will come soon…
